So, I live in this hat. Clearly. I'm not sure if it's actually the trendiness of it, or merely just the excuse to not have to do my hair. May have to go with the second option, because let me tell you, this girl is working with a lot of a lot with this mane.

Aside from mop talk, here's a little bit of what I've been digging around lately. 12th Tribe has began to carry eclectic jewels from around the world, in other words, what has been dressing my arms and neck for a long time, is now in store for all my friends!

Here's the thing about the jewelry we're going to dish for you. It's not mass produced in China. We're not talking cheapo, plastic, nonsense that everyone and their mother has. What I love most about the jewels that have laced my arms is the uniqueness behind snatching a one of a kind piece from who knows where. Throughout high school, I was constantly caught noticing some other girl had the same pants, shirts, whatever, and frankly, as much fun as it was to look like your BFF, it did get old. I started to find myself wearing simple, basic pieces, but I let the jewelry do the talking. It's fun to have the ability to share where you got your new piece, but whats even more fun is that you most likely won't go find the same one at your local department store down the street and around the corner.

I'm like a little kid on christmas when doing the buying for 12th Tribe. Finding something so rare, but so rad. Although then comes that attachment phase where it's so dang sick that you don't want to give it away. Although, my 12th Tribe family, you're the reason why we go hunt! So, just know every thing is hand selected, and carefully chosen with LOVE (eh, maybe obsession) and we genuinely believe it is a piece you will be just as in love with.

12th Tribe is picking up it's first designer line and the name is Flynn Skye. She is worn by A list celebs and is handmade in LA. It is one of my favorite designers and I would sleep in her designs if I could. We want to give you a taste of the awesome brand so we are giving away some rad pieces. Not only that, but we're teaming up with the Suja, the fastest growing cold press juice company this year. Annie Lawless, the co-founder, has a rad blog called Blawnde, and we'll be collaborating in a rad giveaway this week. In fact, I kinda hate that I am the one hosting it because I want it ALL. 3 day juice cleans + Flynn piece. Um...score.

 This may have been a ground breaking record. Two whole months without laying a finger on the keyboard to write in this so called "blog". Post graduation is something else I'll tell ya. You know it means entering the real world, but no where does anyone tell you that you will drive up and down California 4 times, live out of your car for a few weeks, go through a break up, and then start a business. Lets just say, one day this may just make a good book.

I've decided to take a leap of faith that may be deemed as uncanny and crazy to some people. However, to another mix of, maybe the more square peg in a round hole type, it's just called chasing a dream. Wow, that kinda came out lame, although it's freakishly true. I've been playing dress up since I came out of the womb, however it didn't occur to me until the week after college ended that I wanted to build a brand. of my own. I literally wanted to make a living dressing up my homies and while I even thought I was crazy, I've decided to do it. And now I'll have a beer and share with you some things. Get ready.

Finding what you love is easy, although staying true to what your passionate about is whats hard. I've had many different pulls attempting to carrying me in different ways, and most of the time it was from people I respected most. I've been told I need to go learn from someone else, I need more school education, and best of all...who would buy 50$ ripped shorts!;) Needless to say, not everyone was stoked.

I've faced a lot of fears in the last two months and the first one was letting a little dinky website go live. It's no where close to where I desire, but I'm starting to realize the first step doesn't have to be a jump. As long as its a step forward, we're movin'.  While our ADD generation would like things fast and brilliant right away, lets face it perfection is not going to suddenly arise. It takes failing, staying up all night, rebranding, re-tweaking and patience. A lot of patience. Plus, even if you're moving slow, you have yet to quit. More importantly though, it also means not comparing yourself to others or changing what makes you unique to fit some one else's preference. If we are to aim to please everyone we come across, no one will be happy. Plus, successful brands and businesses are flooding the market and by focusing on anyone else in the race you're only going to get distracted. Stay focused.

It's been a while since I graced you all with my ridiculous reflections, so I thought I'd make it extra long. If you haven't noticed that isn't exactly your typical "fashion" blog. I'm not dishing out trends of the day and telling you what color to wear (head to song of style for that - she's great). What I hope to do through this though, along with my store, is yes share personal style (in the most non narcissistic way possible), but also remind you to find what you love and let it kill you.  San Diego State University it's been real! 

I graduated college this month. 

and then jumped out of a plane. 

Now back to grad...College graduation came faster than any of us imagined, but it gave me the excuse to finally buy some new Zara heels and the typical grad white dress. Typical is not usually my game, but the rad online destination, Nasty Gal, helped a sista out with a little less than simple ensamble in this dire time of need.  Thank ya team. 

Oh yeah, and then I went to dinner and dunked my bottom half in a NG skirt as well. 

But speaking of this hot spot website, it's time to scream and shout for the women inspiring us all to jump on our dreams post grad. No better way for school to commence then with the launch of a new book. 

That's right - the ultimate girl boss has finally released what all aspiring fashionistas have been waiting for…their entire life. And now it's time to rock and roll, and conquer the real world. 

My advice to all the grads: stay young and stay foolish, but most of all find what you love and let it kill you. 

I've never really been one who flocks to the malls. Something about the overcrowded stores, impossible parking and mass number of that single style doesn't scream party. Instead I find myself scrummaging through the thrift shops here in SD, and bouncing from boutique to boutique. However, nestled in a secret little spot in La Jolla, I've stumbled across one of the finest collections in town at Rica. After falling in love with the racks that are full with each of my favorite designers, I was fortunate get my hands on some of threads for a little bit of wardrobe styling to throw on the site. I must say, aside from the price points being right on, the Mink Pink shorts and crop tops, Beach Riot sunnies, and Stone Cold Fox amaze swimsuits are to die for. There is a pretty rad owner with wild hair I want to steal:)
