Relationships are one of the most important aspects in making us feel alive and whole. Sometimes we find ourself being so busy that we tend to push away certain people and ultimately try to convince ourselves we just don't have time for that person. It may be true, you may not have the time to give someone your all, but in times like those I've realized finding balance is essential. Now like I've said multiple times before, I've felt my plate getting cluttered and I've felt moments where I didn't think I had the minutes to give to someone else. I started pulling away from people important to me and needless to say, I was starting to feel like something missing.

Surrounding yourself with people, especially different types of people brings light to new possibilities, ideas, perspectives and a load of new knowledge - we can't neglect that.  We are all so different, with some many different pasts and experiences, shaping us into who we are today.... and embracing that is a special thing. Look at your neighbor and realize they are better than you at something. Realize that is thrilling to understand because you can both offer so much to one another. Surprisingly enough, those are Kanyes wise words.

Anyway, my roommate and I both had this epiphany today while one of us was at the gym and the other was at the work, and needless to say it freaked us out. However, we came to both remind one another how lucky we are to have met as many people as we have while being in a new city. Whether some friendships, boyfriends, whatever, have failed or succeeded theres no doubt in our minds that there was something that was learned from every person who has walked into our lives.

I've talked to people recently who claim they're not good at being outgoing and just talking to random people. If that's the case, I challenge you to do something that scares you tomorrow. Aka chat with someone new. While abroad at hostels one of my favorite things to do was meet anyone I could. I saw each human as an unopened book that was waiting to be read and the stories I came across were life changing.

Enough with that rant though. You get the picture. Happy hump day homies. Go meet someone new!
