Getting to experience Greece wasn't like any other place I've been fortunate enough to see. The small island of Mykonos was my favorite as the 33 square mile land was sporadically filled with white housing and traditional blue roofs. The island was generally barren, aside from few "happening beaches" where visitors were celebrating their holiday. The Aegean Sea surrounding Mykonos was bluer than any other body water I've seen before and the yachts casually anchored in them were beyond massive - a triple take head turn still couldn't grasp my belief around it.

As far as living, Paraga Beach Hostel, my first hostel experience was unreal. Settled 10 steps from the beach, it was filled with foreigners on solo and group adventures ranging from weeks to years of living out of a backpack. It was a different type of living experience as we spent nights in tent like cabins, but for 10 Euro a night and a view that can't even be grasped through pictures, it was well worth it.

Mykonos Market was filled with a few high end luxury stores, bust mostly mom and pop shops with the obligatory souvenir stores. Over two months of seeing a lot of shops, the Greek clothing and jewelry won me over and would have stole millions from me if I had it. The gauze-like tops, palazzo pants and colorful dresses embellished with bright jewels and patterns have me craving to go back....although so are the gyros, blue water and sun that didn't stop shining.
