A night in Florence began our Italian escapades and there was no other way to do it. After wrapping up my travels through Tuscany and down to the Almafi Coast, I've realized Florence added a diverse experience. A beautiful, clean city was all I imagined an Italian city to be and it was all that and more. Aside from sight seeing (duomo, Academia galleria etc.) the next day, this night was my favorite.

I'm a sucker for a good sunset and I had gotten word that the Westin Excelsior was the spot to see it. Running to the hotel to make sure I got to see a Florence sunset I passed chic stores, old italian men playing the violin, and swanky restaurants. I finally reached the hotel where I found myself looking at a picture perfect Italy. The ponte Vecchio and Fiume river lined the horizon of the city and it would not have been possible to see without the panaromaic atop the hotel.
