”Positano bites deep…..It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.” — John Steinbeck

So every year we've battled the Napa roads, which are notorious for being windy. The Almafi coast drive had windy roads, but talk about windy on a new level. Sorrento to Positano is only around a 20 minute drive, but I felt like we needed to be at 20 mph to 1. survive and 2. take in all there was to see.

These roads came to be the least of worries though. Every turn we felt it necessary to get out and absorb what looked unreal. Everyone has always raved about Positano and now I know exactly why. Our hotel room was very minimal, but the balcony overlooking the ocean and famously colorful town was far worth it. Whilesitting at the mosaic table, which positano is so famous for, and sipping on a glass of prosecco the feeling of astonishment and disablief arose and I immediately felt way too spoiled (story of my entire trip.) All that was missing was pizza and gelato because when you're in Italy, two time a day is nearly not enough.

Some of my favorites:
