After visiting Sorrento, a Lemon...and Chili Pepper will never be looked at the same. The small town in the Almafi Coast, known for its extra extra large lemons, is a quaint pit stop while driving the Mediterranean coast. The town is filled with small family owned stores and restaurants and hold some of the most adorable B&B's I've yet to come across.
A few of my favorites that we were lucky to find new friends at were:
Palazoo Jannuzi - modernized twist to Italy's small bed and breakfast. Yellow and white stripes accompanied with other bright accents, furnishing and a balcony overlooking the main square. Be prepared for an entertaining view from the rooms as you sip on some vino and overlook the hustle and bustle, horse rides and tourists coming in for the day from all over the world.
Palazzo Marziale - elegant establishment located next to town park and steps from the coast. We didn't get to see much, but as we walked by and noticed open doors leading to a soft yellow and white couch placed mext to dark wicker chairs with greenery growing throughout, it caught our eyes to take a look. The main restaurant had an out door like feel but was enclosed by draping linens for a classy and very beautiful setting. This property was memorable and will be on our list for next times stay.
Mangia mangia!
A food is a given when it comes to Italian services. Pizza, pasta and gelato truly is no joke. Although, with restaurant after restaurant it's hard to have amazing luck each meal. Theres just so many to choose from, but these were my favorites:
The foreigners club - ironic. Very. We underestimated this place completely and in fact laughed when someone suggested it. Although, if you're looking for amazing food with a sunset, this is indeed the place. Not only was the service amazing (the staff encouraged we stay longer to see the best part of the sunset; no being rushed out), but the food was fresh and sincere Italian.
L'abate - pasta to die for. The wait for this place was longer than any other spot, but so worth it. Pages of pasta dishes at your finger tips and olive oil you won't forget. And trust me, I had a lot of olive oil.
Davide Agusto - gelato and dessert. A sit down down dolce delight nestled in the ally way surrounded by shops. A fun place to people watch and give that sweet tooth it's fix.
